Accepting these Terms
By creating an account, signing in, joining a room, using practice chat, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using TalkYouApp, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use TalkYouApp for an organization, classroom, team, or another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so and that you will make sure the relevant users understand these Terms.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally allowed to use online services in your location. TalkYouApp is not intended for children under 13, and users who need parental or guardian consent must have it before using the service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, the security of your login methods, and all activity under your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care.
- Do not share your password, session, or account access with others.
- Do not create accounts using false identity, unauthorized emails, or another person's credentials.
- Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
The TalkYouApp service
TalkYouApp is a voice-first language learning platform. The service includes live multilingual rooms, direct calls, room chat, direct messages, notes, shared word lists, streaks, practice history, plan entitlements, and interactive English practice chat for eligible plans.
We may add, change, limit, rename, suspend, or remove features when needed to improve the product, protect users, comply with law, manage costs, or maintain reliability.
Acceptable use and community safety
You must use TalkYouApp lawfully and respectfully. Language practice can involve mistakes and accents; harassment, shaming, discrimination, sexual pressure, or abusive behavior is not allowed.
- Do not threaten, harass, stalk, dox, exploit, or target users based on protected or personal characteristics.
- Do not share illegal content, non-consensual intimate content, sexual content involving minors, hateful content, or instructions for serious harm.
- Do not spam, scrape, mass-message, manipulate trust signals, or automate activity without permission.
- Do not bypass access controls, moderation controls, practice chat usage limits, payment flows, security checks, or technical restrictions.
- Do not use rooms, calls, messages, notes, profiles, or practice chat to provide or seek medical, legal, financial, crisis, or other professional advice.
Live rooms, direct calls, and messages
When you join a live room or direct call with your microphone active, other participants can hear you. You are responsible for what you say, show, write, upload, or share.
Room owners and moderators may manage rooms, remove participants, mute, block chat, restrict hand raise, review access attempts, and use safety tools. We may also intervene when needed to protect users or the service.
- Respect room topics, language goals, and participant boundaries.
- Do not record or redistribute another user's voice, messages, profile, or learning content without permission and a lawful basis.
- Messages, read receipts, shared notes, and profile actions may be visible to other users as the product indicates.
Practice Partner
Practice Partner is designed for English language practice. It can ask questions, respond to speech, keep database-backed learning memory on eligible paid plans, and maintain standard personal progress history for the practice feature.
Practice chat output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. You should evaluate output before relying on it. Practice Partner is not a teacher of record, therapist, doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, immigration adviser, or emergency service.
- Do not use practice chat for cheating, impersonation, professional advice, crisis support, or harmful instructions.
- Do not submit sensitive personal, medical, financial, legal, or confidential information unless you are comfortable with it being processed to provide the feature.
- We may limit, refuse, suspend, or meter practice chat sessions to enforce plan limits, reduce abuse, protect users, and manage reliability.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you create or upload, such as messages, notes, profile text, room metadata, reports, and media you provide. You give TalkYouApp a limited license to host, store, transmit, display, process, moderate, and back up that content only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you submit. You must not upload private, confidential, copyrighted, or personal information you do not have permission to use.
Plans, billing, and subscriptions
TalkYouApp may offer Free, Plus, Pro, or other plans. Plus includes 200 minutes of conversational practice chat each month, Practice Partner memory, and 30 days of room and people history. Pro includes 400 minutes of English practice chat each month, Practice Partner memory, 90 days of room and people history, and selectable Practice Partner voices.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling a paid plan may stop future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges unless required by law or the checkout terms shown to you.
- Practice chat minute limits and billing details may differ by plan.
- We may change plan names, features, limits, or prices, but material paid-plan changes will be handled with reasonable notice where required.
- Payment card details are processed by payment providers, not stored directly by TalkYouApp.
7. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of digital goods and the immediate allocation of platform resources, we do not offer refunds once a subscription is purchased or minutes are consumed. You can cancel your subscription at any time. For support, contact [email protected].
This policy does not limit any refund, cancellation, or withdrawal right that applicable law requires or any final resolution issued by the payment provider. The standalone Refund Policy at talkyouapp.com/refund-policy forms part of these Terms.
Moderation and enforcement
We may investigate reported or suspicious activity and take action when we believe these Terms, community safety expectations, product rules, or law may have been violated.
- Actions may include warnings, content removal, room removal, muting, blocking, feature limits, plan limits, account suspension, account termination, or referral to appropriate authorities where legally required.
- We may preserve relevant information when needed for safety, abuse prevention, disputes, legal compliance, or enforcement.
- You may contact [email protected] if you believe an enforcement action was made in error.
TalkYouApp intellectual property
TalkYouApp, its brand, design, software, workflows, icons, logos, product copy, and non-user content are owned by TalkYouApp or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of our service or brand.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, frame, or commercially exploit TalkYouApp except as allowed by these Terms or by written permission.
Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but TalkYouApp may be unavailable, delayed, interrupted, or changed because of maintenance, provider outages, security incidents, network conditions, product updates, or events outside our control.
Some features may be experimental, region-limited, plan-limited, capacity-limited, or subject to usage controls.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using TalkYouApp at any time. You can request account deletion by contacting [email protected] from your account email.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for users or the service, failed to pay for a paid plan, or used the product unlawfully or abusively.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TalkYouApp will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or service interruption arising from your use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to TalkYouApp for the service in the three months before the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
Governing law and disputes

Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product, law, or business changes. We will update the date above and provide reasonable notice for material changes where required. Continuing to use TalkYouApp after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
